About us and our company history

In 1959 Norman Bennett started growing water lily plants in the disused clay pits of Putton Brickworks in Dorset. His success with them grew and soon he was exporting them worldwide.

Since retiring, and as a founder member of the International Water Lily Society, he now shares his great knowledge of water lilies with fellow enthusiasts.

Our products

Water Lilies, Marginal Water Plants, Bog Plants and other aquatics goods are available by mail order through our website and are posted to our customers bare-rooted.

Plants can also be bought pre-planted pots from our water garden centre in Weymouth. Although we carry as wide a range of plants possible we cannot guarantee to have all the plants listed on this site available at our plant nursery. You should always contact us before hand if wishing to collect a particular plant. More information on visiting us can be found here.
